Despite being partially deaf in one ear, Andy King – or Defblush – has solidified himself in the increasingly popular Kent club scene by becoming a resident of the HiJAK! main room quartet.
Since the days of basement parties in The Sussex with LVQR, Defblush has converted from grinding electro to a more melodic and consistent breed of club music, blending tech build-ups, house snares, glitchy vocals and driving bass. His style is namely tech house, but his genre-switching style incorporates elements of minimal, acid, old school house and dubstep.
Now residing in London, Defblush is hoping to start his own night in east London in the not too distant future...
