Hugh Diamond’s obsession for music and mixing it began from a very early age, recording songs off the radio and making mixtapes for his friends. It was in 2005 that Hugh bought his first set of decks and started to apply this interest into a passion.

University, really stepped things up, as Hugh got involved in the Nottingham music scene, taking his skills from house parties to Nottingham’s biggest venues including Stealth, Market Bar & Dogma, and allowing him to share the decks with the likes of Evil Nine, Hybrid, Japanese Popstars, Radioactive Man, Lee Coombs, Erol Alkan & Fake Blood.

Whilst building his name in Nottingham, in 2007 Hugh set his sights on Ibiza. Starting with residencies at Plastic and Eden Rooms, these were soon followed by a set at the worlds biggest club, Privilege.

Inspired on his return from the white isle, Hugh decided to take his love for parties into his own hands, launching his own brand of club night HiJAK!

Created and directed by Hugh, HiJAK! is a unique brand, which has brought the techier side of house music to the forefront and a new, younger generation. HiJAK! has grown in to one of the biggest club nights in the South East, with bookings that include Jim Rivers, Zodiac Cartel (Elite Force), Serge Santiago, Foamo & Louis La Roche.

Whilst building up the brand over the past two years, Hugh has gone back to Ibiza to host room two of the highly acclaimed Reclaim The Dancefloor nights at Eden as well as bookings for the Mixmag Tour at the world famous Egg in London and the Loft in Maidstone.

2010 is set to be a Diamond year as Hugh goes under the radar and at long last hits the studio to produce his own tracks. Expect to hear and see big things this Summer!
